Today saw the release of a thumping new trailer for Ridley Scott’s crime drama The Counsellor, which stars Michael Fassbender as a lawyer who is in way over his head, when he becomes heavily involved in drug trafficking. In the opening fourteen seconds, Fassbender utters in a deep, action hero voice “I intend to love you till I die”, which clearly means he will be spending the entire film running around trying his best not to die in a highly painful way.

The drug dealing drama, which looks amazing in the trailer above, is written by Cormac McCarthy, and has a truly star studded cast, including Fassbender, Cameron Diaz, Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem and Brad Pitt, who proves that you can still be hard as nails, even with girls hair.

However, as Movie 43 proved, having a giant star studded cast does not prevent the film from being utter garbage. But given the awesome soundtrack and slick trailer, this looks like it could be a massive hit. October the 25th can’t come soon enough.
