From the look of the Terminator: Genisys poster, Arnold Schwarzenegger doesn’t know how to use the ‘red eye reduction’ button on his digital camera. He also doesn’t know how to stop saying “I’ll be back” in every film possible, as can be seen in the new Payoff trailer (we have absolutely no idea what this means) for Terminator: Genisys, below.
Continuing the current trend of basically ruining an entire film by giving away all of the plot twists in an overly long trailer, Terminator: Genisys reveals one hugely kept secret- A new Terminator is on the scene, and this time John Connor (Jason Clarke), the floppy haired hero in Terminator 2, and son of the saviour of planet Earth Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke), is an actual Terminator. If that doesn’t make things sound complicated enough, there also appears to be a young Arnold Schwarzenegger Terminator fighting an older Arnold Schwarzenegger Terminator, probably in an effort to stop him saying “I’ll be back”.
Terminator: Genisys sees John Connor sending fellow soldier Sgt. Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) back to 1984 to protect his mother and safeguard the future, but an unexpected turn of events leads to a fractured timeline, and some very dangerous new enemies.
Directed by Alan Taylor, Terminator: Genisys is released in the US on July the 1st, and then two day later in the UK. Rumours that the soundtrack is provided by Phil Collins in some sort or copyright infringement agreement are still yet to be proved.
