New Poster for James McAvoys’ Filth

filth

The second poster for Jon. S. Baird’s Filth is here, featuring McAvoys’ beyond bent copper Bruce Robertson riding a pig rodeo style.

Subtle and pleasant it ain’t but then again that would not be in-keeping with the tale. Based on the novel from Scot Irvine Welsh (Trainspotting, Porno), who also co-wrote the screenplay with Baird, prepare to see McAvoy in a whole new light as the bigoted and corrupt Bruce who manipulates and abuses those around him, using any means necessary to gain a coveted promotion.

Whilst attempting to solve a murder case his demons begin to take their toll on his sanity, and with Bruce battling an all-consuming drug habit, missing wife, suspicious colleagues and a somewhat overactive tapeworm its no surprise he begins to feel the pressure.

Co-Starring Jamie Bell, Jim Broadbent, Imogen Poots, Eddie Marsan and Joanne Froggatt we expect this will be raise the bar for bad taste – but in the best possible way. Think Bad Lieutenant … but worse.

See trailer below for a taste of what’s in store this October but be warned, even that’s not for the faint hearted:
