Christian Bale’s Dark Knight Won’t Rise for ‘Justice League’

With each ticket sold for Man of Steel (2013), fans of DC can plan a little bit more for their ensemble Justice League fancy dress. The highly-speculated film is far from confirmed, but not as far as it was before Henry Cavill’s journalistic hero showed what Zack Snyder’s reboot was cape-able of in the box office.

As anticipation builds for the as-yet unconfirmed superhero team film, Christian Bale has left fans as in the dark as the populace of Gotham City regarding the identity of Batman. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, he explained, “I’ve literally not had a conversation with a living soul. I understand that they may be making a Justice League movie, that’s it […] It’s a torch that should be handed from one actor to another,” before humbly declaring, “So I enjoy looking forward to what somebody else will come up with.”

Given the success of Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy (2005-2012), the opportunity to see a new bat receive his wings may not be met with Joker-esque smiles, though it will certainly leave the caped crusader’s new identity a hot topic of discussion. I guess we’ll just have to look out for the Bat-Signal.

Will the opportunity to see a new portrayal of Batman be a positive for the speculated project? Who would you like to see adorn the Batsuit? Leave your comments below.
